According to chapter titles, the book covers the inception, progress, struggles, and eventual discontinuation of the Indiana mission to the Indians. Includes the autobiography of Abrahm Luckenbach, translated from the German by H.E. Stocker. 180 pages. 6.25 x inches.

Stamp on ffep indicates that this copy was possibly owned by a descendant of the author: Rev F.P. Stocker of Bethlehem.

Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Forest green cloth boards have blind-tooled margins on front and gilt on spine.
• Binding is secure.
• Covers exhibit minor scuffs and dirt, with some edgewear and lightly bumped corners.
• Spine ends are softened, and gilt lightly faded.
• Ffep has prior owner's stamp and a round scrape near the top corner.
• Inside pages are age-tanned, and free of marginalia or underlining.
• May have additional signs of aging or wear.
