Hardback set is overall in VERY GOOD+ condition.

• Dark red leatherbound covers are mostly clean, with embellishment in gilt and black. 
• Boards show a little edgewear.  Corners are sharp.  
• Spines have raised bands, embossed decoration in gilt and black, black text label with gilt text, and are bright with firm ends.
• Bindings are tight.  
• Silk moire end papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear.
• Frontispieces, color portraits of each monarch, are present. 
• Illustrations are bright and clear. 
• Interior exhibits minimal signs of age and wear.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges have All Edges Gilt (AEG), showing a few marks.

A Very Good Plus set of this 12 volume Collector's Edition of biographies of the Kings and Queens of England from the Easton Press.  Some signs of being shelved -- adhesion marks to some board edges, a few marks to the gilt , -- but no signs of use.  The bookplates supplied by the press are still interleaved, unused, at the front covers; most of the sewn-in ribbon page markers remain tucked in.  Volumes include line illustrations, family trees, photographs, maps throughout.  A handsome collection of British royal biography.

Scarisbrick; Elizabeth I, by Anne Somerset; Charles I, by Pauline Gregg; Charles II, by Antonia Fraser; George III, by John Brooke; Victoria, by Elizabeth Longford; George VI, by Sarah Bradford.  King Charles III, then H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, wrote the forward to the volume on George III.
