The Large Paper Edition, twelve volumes.  New York:  Gabriel Wells, 1925 

Hardback set is overall in VERY GOOD condition, with GOOD DJs.

  • Blue paper covers are mostly clean, with gilt border, decoration and text. 
  • Some corners are bumped.  See photos.  
  • Spines have tan labels with black text and are bright with ends bumped, crushed, chipped, or softened.  See photos.
  • Bindings are secure.  Volume 1 shows signs of separation at back cover.  See photos.  
  • Pastedowns and feps are gently age toned at gutters.  See photos. 
  • Interiors exhibit minimal signs of age and wear.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
  • Text block edges have deckle fore and foot edges, gilt along head, are a little dusty.  Some pages have unopened edges (not cut to be read).
  • DJs are blue paper to match covers, with tan spine labels.  Dust jackets have edgewear, bumping along foot, closed tears along head edge especially at shoulders.  Volume 1 has stains to front cover; Volume 8 has a circular mark to front cover.
