As the title suggests, this book is concerned with the designs and creative output of James Ormston Burns (1925-1998).  Jim Burns was a British maker of electric guitars and bass guitars, and in the 1960s his company, Ormston-Burns, was the most successful guitar company in England.  Among his many creations, he is known for models such as the Marvin and the Bison, with its distinctive horns.

Plentifully illustrated, with photos of the instruments and the musicians who used them.

A reissue of the book first published by P.P. Publishing (UK) in 1979.
