- Text block edges have denting to head and foot edges, a little foxing. See photos.
- DJ looks nice under Mylar, and is backed with archival paper.

First British edition. Publisher's light blue boards with spine lettered in black and dust jacket with panels in red and white, as issued. Spine is sunned, text block edges show some dings. Jacket shows some wear, fading to the spine panel and loss to spine head. Interior a little toned but free of marks. Overall a Very Good- copy.
The German born political philosopher's first major work, cited by Le Monde and The National Review as one of the best 100 works of the 20th century. Published in the United States the same year as The Origins of Totalitarianism. Arendt examines Stalinist Russia and Nazi Germany as exemplars of a radical new form of government: totalitarianism.
