Joan Violet Robinson (1903–1983) was a British economist of the Cambridge school known for her pathbreaking work in imperfect competition, macroeconomics, and post-Keynesian theory. The Accumulation of Capital is considered her magnum opus, blending insights from Karl Marx, John Maynard Keynes, and Michał Kalecki to model how capitalist economies function, grow, and experience change over time.
