Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD+ condition.

First edition.  Publisher's boards feature insets with color photograph, black titles.  Binding is firm and square, interior illustrations are crisp.  A little smudging to the edges of the boards, but overall a Very Good Plus copy of this first edition.  

Photographs by Lionel Biron (b. 1941) feature a young male, Mike, in the manner of the character Tadzio from Thomas Mann's novella, Death in Venice.
