Life Story of the Ringling Brothers is both a family autobiography and a historical memoir of the development of the Ringling Brothers circus. Written by Alfred "Alf" Theodore Ringling, it promised "humorous incidents, thrilling trials, many hardships, and ups and downs, telling how the boys built a circus, and showing the true road to success," according to the title page.
