• Green cloth covers have ruled border and title label of black and gilt laid down.   
• Boards show some exposure, bowing, smudges, staining to back, edgewear.  Corners are scuffed.  See photos.  
• Spine is faded with softened ends.
• Binding is fragile, with cracking, separation of text block from feps.  See photos. 
• Green end papers/ pastedowns show little sign of age or wear.
• Illustrations are bright and clear, photographic plates are toned, with some light foxing to page margins, fold-out plate is split at folded edge.   
• Interior exhibits some smudges, small closed tears to foot edge, some edgewear.   
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

A Good Plus copy of this uncommon brochure with proposals and designs for the development of parks in Camden County, New Jersey.  Large oblong quarto, green boards somewhat discolored with age and exposure, with handsome title label.  Binding is fragile, with text block separating from boards.  Photographs and renderings all very readable, with margins toned.

Camden County created a Parks Commission in 1926, part of a growing movement in New Jersey to preserve natural areas and support their development for recreation and public benefit.  This brochure is a well-made, pre-Depression attempt by landscape architect Charles Wellford Leavitt (1871-1928) to attract buyers and investors to Camden County on the strength of its scenic beauty and potential.  It is a wonderful document of landscape design and city planning, describing a number of proposed parks and developments for Camden, New  Jersey, at a time when that city on the Delaware River was a powerhouse of industry and manufacturing.
