Four Score Years of Sport

by Dr Walter G. Kendall

A heartfelt life story. In this remarkably original and entertainingly written book, the author tells us of his adventurous existence, in a sort of philosophical narration which covers the important elements of his rich life as a hunter and a fisherman. From his early boyhood to his career in many trades, he delivers a discussion on sports, boxing, baseball, his dogs, and his philosophy of life, that is food for thought. An accurate and knowledgeable historian, he gives us the history of the bicycle in America, and of all the great champions of the sports he writes of. "He recounts the story of his wonderful dogs, and of his winning the title of the 'father of the Boston Terrier.'" Seldom has a biography been so entertaining, sympathetic, and endearing. 201 pages. 5.25 x 7.5 inches.
