Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

• Leatherbound covers have gilt ruled borders. 
• Boards show some wear, aging, scuffing, edgewear.  Corners are bumped, worn, with exposed board.  See photos.
• Spine has raised bands, traces of gilt, and is darkened with chipped ends.  See photos.
• Binding is intact, top board is tender but attached.  
• Pastedowns are partly detached, feps have some light foxing, staining, a bookplate, a few marks.  See photos.  
• Frontispiece is present.
• Interior is gently age-toned, exhibits some offsetting, some smudges, a little wear to upper corner at back pages.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.  See photos.
• Text block edges have a few marks.

Presumed First edition.  Contemporary leather boards with gilt ruled border, decorated edges, ruled spine segments.  Boards show wear in keeping with their age; front cover is tender.  Pastedowns are loose from their boards; a heraldic Ex Libris is affixed to free end paper.  Interior is unmarked, type is crisp and generous in size, with ornamental capitals and decorative pieces on some pages.  

A compilation of diplomatic relations between Great Britain and other kingdoms and states, chosen and excerpted for the use of the commanders of His Majesty's war ships.  Text summarizes treaties with France, Spain, Holland, the Austrian Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Savoy, Turky (sic), Morocco, Algiers, Tripoly, and Tunis.  With an engraved nautically related frontispiece.  [Refs: ESTC T118654. Presumed first edition.  This title was reissued twice, with the third edition appearing in 1758.
