Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

  • Black cloth covers with gilt title on spine. 
  • Boards show some wear, smudges, edgewear.  Corners are frayed.  See photos.

  • Orange end papers/ pastedowns show little sign of age or wear, have an owner's inscription at front fep.

Autobiographical memoir by Gerard Barnes Lambert (1886-1967), American marketer and businessman.  On the business side, Lambert is best known for introducing American consumers to the term halitosis in his advertising campaigns for Listerine mouthwash, an oral disinfectant that his father, a chemist and President of the Lambert Company, had developed.  On the sporting side, he is known as a yachtsman, owner and captain of America's Cup racing boats.
