A year's worth of this weekly magazine for young people is bound in hard covers. Issues begin with May 26, 1937 and run until May 11, 1938. Each has a theme, and most include the following sections: "Narrative," "Morality" and "Parental." Other sections often seen include: "Nursery," "Poetry," "Descriptive," "Editorial," "Religion," "Natural History," "Variety," "Obituary" and more. Much was written for this publication, but some is attributed to prior printing in other publications. Of particular note, #23 features the launching of The Pennsylvania, and #34 features a whaling account aboard The Essex. Pages 5-208. 10 x 13 inches.

Hardback is overall in FAIR+ condition.

Half bound in brown leather with marble boards.
Inside pages are free of marginalia and underlining.
Binding is weak at the ends.
Back cover is detached from spine.
Last issue is detached from text block.
Front cover has patchy paper residue.
Leather is dry, cracked, and badly rubbed.
Perimeters have some exposed board, especially at corners.
Spine has seen some hard wear, with rough spine ends.
Interior is foxed to different degrees, but mostly in margins, and it doesn't interfere with readability.
Pastedowns are tanned with significant signs of age and wear.
Front hinge is splitting ~1" from head and tail of spine.
