Lithographed, printed and bound by H.S. Crocker & Co, San Francisco, 1890.  This volume was issued as a promotion to establish Yosemite as a tourist destination.  The chromolithographic views often were used with promotional material issued by various California merchants in a number of formats, including broadsides which reproduced a chromolithograph, part of a poem, and advertising copy." (Currey & Kruska 88; Cowan p. 699.)  The views show classic Yosemite views including Sentinel Rock, Bridal Veil, El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome.

According to a review in the Inland Printer (December 1890, page 242), each of the plates was printed in 17 colors, which required a total of 221 stones.  2000 copies were printed, after which the voluminous stones were destroyed due to the excessive cost of storage.
