A Very Good copy, in publisher's DJ, of this collection of poems by American author and artist Charles Henri Ford (1908-2002). Fading to the inked title on spine, interior is tanned. The sixth volume in the Europa Poets series.
This is the first volume of poetry by Charles Henri Ford, who was closely linked with the Paris scene and Surrealism. A number of sonnets in the present volume are dedicated to Vicomtesse de Noailles, Parker Tyler, Djuna Barna and Pavel Tchelitchew. Tchelitchew was Ford's long-term partner and the artist of the detailed frontispiece to the poems.
Nameplate on front pastedown reads "David Enderton Johnson."
