A very good copy overall of this stylish edition of Poe's Tales.  For this edition of 1000 copies, part of the R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company's "Four American Books" campaign, the Press obtained the services of W.A. Dwiggins, a well-established designer of print advertisements.  Dwiggins designed the book and created the illustrations for Poe's stories.  The overall effect is modern, understated, and stylish.
