Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition, with a GOOD DJ under Mylar.

• Covers in red and blue have illustration and signature label. 
• Boards show some bumping to foot edge, edgewear.  Corners are scuffed.  See photos.  
• Spine has decorated label; 1" piece at head is loose, held in place by invisible tape; ends are bumped.  See photos.
• Binding is secure.  
• Pastedowns and feps show some rippling at inner corner.  See photos. 
• Illustrations are bright and clear, cover sheets are uniformly tanned; a little foxing on last two color plates.  See photos. 
• Interior exhibits some marginal toning.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
• Original DJ is nicely preserved behind Mylar and is backed with archival paper.
• DJ has some edgewear, chipped corners, bumping along foot edge and tiny closed tears, long closed tear at back cover head, 1" chip at spine head.  See photos.

A very good copy, with original dust jacket, of the first edition of the English language issue of the special double issue of Verve 29/30 dedicated to Picasso.  Illustrated throughout and complete with 12 original color lithographs.

This volume captures a moment in the late career of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), presenting the drawings he made over two and a half months in the order he drew them, and reproducing them in actual size.

Volume includes prefatory essays.

Typography and heliogravure by master printers Draeger Frères; color lithography printed by Mourlot Frères.
