An attractive edition of memoirs by French author and woman of letters Colette (1873-1954), written from German-occupied Paris during the Second World War. The illustrations are by André Dignimont (1891–1965), French illustrator and printmaker known for capturing Parisian life and cafe scenes in a distinct pen, ink, and watercolor style.
