First Edition, First Printing. Publisher's turquoise boards with black headband and gilt titles. Dust jacket, price-clipped, features illustration of a cat by Foujita against a blue ground. Boards are bright, with some edgewear. Binding is firm and square, interior is gently toned throughout. Owner's bookmark stamp at front pastedown, a gift tag with inscription is taped to the ffep. Dust jacket shows chipping to corners and along spine strip. With a stamped $3.00 price at the top of the front flap, common to all copies. Condition is overall Very Good.
