This is a very good copy of one of the sixty titles produced by the Gaberbocchus Press, a London publishing house founded in 1948 by the artist couple Stefan and Franciszka Themerson.  Gaberbocchus books often experimented with language and visual effects.

The subject of this slim volume is Kurt Schwitters (1875-1948), German artist and creator of Merz, who lived in England from 1940-1948.  Stefan Themerson presented a talk to the Gaberbocchus group on Schwitters, which is included here.  The book is playful and creative, printed on sheets of many colors, with illustrations, cut-outs, and facsimile pages of notes made by the artist.
