• Blue cloth covers are mostly clean.  Boards show a smudge, some scratches to back cover.  Corners are bumped.  See photos. 
• Spine has gilt text and is bright with firm ends.

• End papers/ pastedowns show little to no sign of age or wear.
• Frontispiece, a photo portrait of the author, is present. 
• Interior exhibits minimal signs of age and wear, with toning to page edges.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

Philip Whalen (1923-2002), poet and Zen monk, was a figure in the San Francisco Renaissance and close to the Beat generation.  This collection of his poetry and doodles covers the period 1974-1979.  

Limited edition of 56 copies bound in blue boards and signed by the poet.  This is copy #36.
