Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Black cloth covers are mostly clean, with pasted on illustrated title. 
• Boards show some exposure, warping, foxing to title plate.  Corners are sharp.  See photos.  
• Spine has publisher's device in white and is a little sunned with firm ends.
• Binding is strong. 
• Pastedowns and feps have some light foxing at back cover.  See photos.  
• Illustrations are bright and clear, plates are printed on one side only.
• Signed by the author on the limitation page.  See photos.  
• Interior exhibits some marginal toning, some rippling of two tissue leaves.  See photos. 
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

First edition of 500 copies, numbered and signed.  Publisher's black boards with illustrated title plate applied to top board.  Artist's book, text in Italian reproduced in facsimile, with English translation printed on tissue oversheets.  Illustrated with 120 plates, printed only on the front side of the sheet, showing projects and sketches of urban architecture inspired by the out-lying areas of Milan.  Boards show a little bowing; some light foxing to cover plate, top edge, and fep inside back cover.  Plates are crisp; each is printed on one side, with the date on the reverse.

Ugo La Pietra (b. 1938), an architect by training, is an artist, filmmaker, editor, musician, cartoonist and teacher.  Born in the province of Pescara, La Pietra has been defining himself as a researcher in communication systems and in visual arts since 1960, moving simultaneously in the worlds of art and design.  He lives and has his studio in Milan.
