Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Patterned paper covers are mostly clean, with cloth at spine. 
• Boards show a few smudges, some warping, edgewear.  Corners are bumped, worn, with exposed board.  See photos.
• Spine has orange text and is bright with firm ends.
• Binding is strong. 
• Pastedowns and feps have signs of adhesion inside back cover. 
• Ex-library book, with bookplate at front pastedown, embossed stamp on title page.  
• Illustrations are bright and clear.  
• Interior exhibits minimal signs of age and wear.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges have a few marks.

Limited edition of 325 copies.  Elephant Folio with orange and tan patterned boards and beige one-quarter cloth, as issued.  Fifteen full page plates with color reproductions of tempura paintings by Monroe Tsa Toke (1904-1937), accompanied by texts by Toke which explain the Peyote Ritual.  Condition is Very Good; a little bend to the boards, remnants of glue from removed label on inside back cover, a few marks in keeping with a library provenance.  

A fine example of fine letterpress printing from the Grabhorn Press in San Francisco.  Generous fonts and spacing on heavy weight stock.
