• Book is in very good- condition with some rubbing and staining, and some detached pages.
• Color illustrated covers are mildly rubbed and show overall toning and some dark stains from pencil/finger marks.
• Boards exhibit some dirt, notably along edges, which are firm.
• Corners are sharp, and display some mild rubbing.
• Spine has title in faded black, and softened and rubbed ends, and shows overall fading.
• Binding is fragile with some cracking at gutter between some pages, with some play especially to front hinge. (See photos)
• Endpapers display moderate age-toning and some finger marks, and a pencil note on front.
• Frontispiece features black & white drawing by the illustrator and shows some toning and scarce foxing.
• Interior is gently age-toned with occasional foxing, staining, and finger marks on margins.
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• All illustrations present with some detached. (See photos) 
• Text block edges are strongly age-toned and exhibit a small stain to head.
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
