Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD+ condition, with a VERY GOOD DJ under Mylar.

• Light blue covers are mostly clean, with black cloth at spine, gilt title.  Boards show some exposure at edges.  Corners are sharp.  See photos. 
• Spine has gilt text and is bright with softened ends.
• Binding is strong. 
• Pastedowns and feps show little sign of age or wear.
• Half title page has an owner's stamp on upper corner.  See photos. 
• Interior exhibits some marginal toning.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
• DJ looks great under Mylar, and is backed with archival paper.
• Examination of DJ reveals bumping and edgewear, closed tears at head, chipped corners, chipping at spine ends, a little soiling to back cover.  See photos.

Hannah Arendt (1906–1975) was a German-born American political theorist and philosopher widely recognized as one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century.  In The Human Condition Arendt presents a philosophical examination of modern humanity exploring human agency, political freedom, and the paradox of increasing technological power.  The book grew out of the Charles R. Walgreen Foundation Lectures given at the University of Chicago.
