LP: CERBERUS, Cerberus - 1980 Matt Garbo Ray Grabowski Scarce Collectible

Product Description

CERBERUS

Cerberus

Recording Label: CMI (Cerberus Music Inc)

Release Date: 1980

Etching: CMI-333

Album Notes: Some have listed this album as heavy metal, but the sound overall defies genres, with a leaning toward psychedelic rock.

Produced and performed by Matt and Ray Grabowski, Tom Bielecki, Gene Dowin, and Sal Finocchiaro. Both of the producers continued with their music careers, continuing the independent music label CMI, and performing. As Matt Garbo (1961-2015), brother Matt had a solo career releasing nine more albums. Ray Grabowski continues to perform with the band he founded: Swingman and the Misfit-Mutts.

Record is overall in VERY GOOD+ condition with a VERY GOOD+ Cover.

  • Vinyl: still has a good luster. It also has very minor scratches and scuffs/smudges that do not impact the sound quality. Labels are in excellent condition.
Please Note: Vinyl has been visually inspected. Please contact us if you have concerns about how the record plays.
  • Album Cover: the white front of the cover is clean excepting for some ringwear scuffing. The black back has a photo with 3 band members and shows little evidence of ringwear. There is a crease along the top edge, and a couple creases along the open edge. Corners are in good shape, as are the seams.
  • Interior Dust Sleeve: is a clean replacement sleeve, with a little age toning at points.
  • Album may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
  • CR20160128

My Uncle

5/5
My uncle is Sal Finocchiaro and I very much remeber thos record when I was a child. I cant believe I found it. I was 5 years old. 1980 was the year my father Gene (Sal's brother.) passed away. It's sad to hear about Matt's passing. I remember rehearsal was sometimes in my Grandmother Catherine's basement. If it wasn't for my uncle and the Grabowski brothers I wouldnt be a musician today. Finding this album on here really made my day. Especially with everything going on in the world right now. Hopefully some day I'll get to hear it again 40 years later. God Bless, Gene Finocchiaro Jr.
