Very scarce, text in Italian. Handsomely bound in full leather, filled with poems along with a long section of text. 151 pages with index. 6" by 9".

Title translates as "In Death of Charlotte Melania"

Published by: Co'Tipi Bodoniana. Parma, Italy. 1807.

Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

• Rebacked in decorated leather with original black title block affixed to spine.
• Leather binding features elaborate etched diamond pattern on both boards with gilt trim and design detail to perimeter.
• Original leather boards show prominent wear with cracks, abrasions, and chips to areas with some soiling and scuffing.
• Light scuffing to corners with splitting to material.
• Interior includes original marbled paper to pastedowns and ffep with.
• Pastedowns and ffep are darkened with some wear. Additionally, it appears that remnants of the original mull has been preserved and adhered to pastedowns.
• Front and rear hinges are cracked at pastedowns.
• First two leafs of front matter show writing to recto and verso.
• Textblock edges are marbled.
• Persistent, uniform stain to top edge of leafs can be seen throughout.
• Gentle wrinkling across leafs.
• Extrinsic ink to the following pages: 143 shows two small X's to margins, 145 shows single underline and X within text and writing to lower portion, 147 shows three underlines, one X and writing to lower portion, 149 shows one underline, an X and writing to lower portion.
• Given the rebacking, the binding is rather tight.
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
