First Printing.  Presentation edition of 100 copies, signed by Katharine Cornell.  Publisher's ruby moirée boards have beveled edges, gilt facsimile signature to cover and gilt title to spine.  Interior is crisp and fresh; exposure wear to the cloth at the spine makes the condition Very Good.  A Rare copy of this autobiography from the American theater.

Katharine Cornell (1893–1974), the subject and narrator of this book, was a German-born American stage actress, writer, theater owner and producer.  Cornell is regarded as one of the great actresses of the American theatre, the first performer to receive the Drama League Award, for Romeo and Juliet in 1935.  Cornell is known for her major Broadway roles in serious dramas, often directed by her husband, Guthrie McClintic.
