Stern.  Mid-gray cloth boards and full color pictorial dust jacket.  Color photography is vivid; apart from a strip of sunning at the foot edge and a bump to the foot of the spine, there is no sign of wear or use.  Inscribed and signed by Stern on the half-title page.

The volume presents sixteen completed apartment complexes, plus an additional sixteen projects in the planning stage.  It focuses on high-density residential design and the ways this kind of building contributes to urban vitality.  Not only the projects are shown, but the thinking behind them is presented as well.
