- Frontispiece, full-page photograph of the artist, is present.
- Illustrations, black and white photographs, are bright and clear.

A Very Good copy of this scarce volume, the second volume in a facsimile edition of Henri Matisse's notebook sketches for his first series of "Blue Nudes I-IV." Paper wraps of violet blue with the artist's name in white. A little darkened along the spine; interior is unmarked and photographs bright.
Published just a year after the artist's death (Henri Matisse 1869-1954), the essay is by Jean Cassou, with photographs by Hélène Adant. Volume 1, absent here, is a facsimile of Matisse's notebook, wraps with o-wire binding.
Edition of 500 copies. This is copy #24 of Volume 2, the companion essay.
