• Pastedowns and feps of yellow paper have some staining, foxing, owner's marks.  See photos.
• Interior is gently age-toned, exhibits marginal toning, scattered moderate foxing and spotting, light edgewear, some corner turn-ins at lower edge.  See photos.  
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.

First American Edition, from the Third London Edition.  Contemporary calf binding with black label, gilt text and ruling at the spine.  Text block is gently tanned, with spotting and staining scattered throughout.  Binding is square, pages turn well.  An owner's name at front end paper, text is unmarked.  This is the first American edition of Dr. Ryan's manual dedicated to gynecology, obstetrics, and the diseases of women and young children.  Very scarce outside institutional holdings.  Condition is overall Very Good.
