Boards display overall toning as well as some foxing. Volume 2 shows some stains along edges. Volume 3 exhibits more pronounced general foxing.
Binding is secure in all volumes.
Illustration plates are well preserved, and protected with tissue guards bearing caption to artwork.
Interior features traditional Asian folded page design. Patterned thin paper is likely hand made and decorated with light design. (See photos)
Pages are gently age-toned.
Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
Textblock edges show commensurate toning.
