Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD- condition.

• Leatherbound covers have gilt bands, black label and gilt title to spine. 
• Boards show some wear, smudges, bumps, scuffing, edgewear.  Corners are bumped, scuffed, with exposed board.  See photos.   
• Spine has black label with gilt text dimmed and is worn, with chipped ends.  See photos.  
• Binding is secure.  
• Pastedowns and feps have some moderate foxing, staining, wear, owner's marks, a broadside affixed onto front pastedown.  See photos.
• Interior is tanned, exhibits moderate foxing, some smudges, light edgewear, small corner turn-ins.  See photos.  
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
• Text block edges have some foxing.

First American Edition.  Two volumes in one.  Original full calf boards with gilt ruled compartments, black spine label and gilt title to spine.  Leather shows age and wear, particularly at spine and corners.  Interior is tanned, with foxing, but unmarked and readable.  An illustrated broadside on the subject of Biblical prophecy is affixed to the front pastedown.  Condition for this scarce volume is overall Very Good Minus.

George Stanley Faber (1773–1854) was an Anglican theologian and prolific author.  Several of his works had prophetic interpretation as their subject; Faber continued to work on the volume offered here, and it went into a fifth edition in London.  The broadside inside the front cover, also on the subject of prophecy, is signed by J. Perrin of Fairport, New York.
