Product Description

The King In Yellow

by Robert William Chambers

The best known book by Robert W. Chambers (1865-1933). This collection of short stories slips between genres and is in turn considered horror, paranormal, and stories of the fantastic. This book is named after a fictitious play mentioned in several of the stories, that has a reputation for driving its readers mad. A seminal collection of supernatural stories, parts have been alluded to by Lovecraft, and is considered a bridge between Poe and Stephen King. 316 pages + 2 pp of ads. 4 x 6.5 inches.

2nd printing from the first year of publication by: F. Tennyson Neely, Chicago and New York. 1895. As part of "Neely's Prismatic Library."
