Hardback is overall in GOOD condition.

  • Half bound in leather and decorative paper the boards show light scuffing to corners with partially exposed boards, edges and paper.
  • leather spine features four raised bands and gilt designs and show two chips at base, one measuring .25", the other .5".
  • Significant edgewear.
  • Moderate staining to pastedowns and endpapers.
  • Textblock is darkened but quite legible.
  • Page 384 shows significant staining to outside margin with some staining to page 385.
  • Front and rear hinges exhibit some play.
  • The leather along the front hinge is cracked, resulting in the front board being partially detached. Please see photos.
  • The binding is firm.
  • No writing, highlighting, underlining or other intentional marks.
  • Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
