• Boards show wear, smudges, edgewear. Corners are scuffed.

• Binding is strong. 
• Pastedowns and feps have some light foxing, stains both front and back.  Please see photographs. 
• Frontispiece, a portrait of LaFontaine, is present and has intact tissue guard.
• Illustrations are bright and clear, with tissue guards.  
• Interior is gently age-toned.  
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
• Text block edges have deckle fore and foot edges, gilt along head.
