Published originally in limited edition, this book was immediately hailed as a classic in its field. This book on lettering and type designing is a beautiful example of the bookmaker's art as it is a practical and useful summary of the elements of lettering. The Authors' approach to the art is unique, inasmuch as it is primarily concerned with the essential nature of good lettering rather than the superficial appearance of the letters themselves.

EDITION POINTS: 2nd Edition.
