Hardback is overall GOOD condition.

  • Red illustrated covers show overall rubbing, scuffing and fading as well as some darkening and staining on back. 
  • Boards show some considerable signs of aging including rubbing and darkening of edges. 
  • Corners are very mildly bumped and moderately rubbed with exposed boards.
  • Spine has dark green text and decoration that is almost entirely hidden by strong fading, sunning and scuffing of cloth.
  • Spine ends are softened and rubbed with some slight chipping.
  • Spine has writing in dark marker under title. 
  • Binding is lightly detached between some signatures, but overall in good condition.
  • Pastedowns are very gently toned, with some pencil marks and a stamp from previous owner near lower edge. (See photos)
  • Front ffep has pencil mark to upper edge. (See photos)
  • Black & white photograph illustrated frontis is mildly toned with marginal scattered foxing.
  • Interior is gently age-toned with some occasional very light marginal staining on illustration pages, mostly from a recurring stain on upper outward corner of some pages. (See photos)
  • Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
  • Text block edges display moderate toning and darkening.
  • Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
