Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

  • Russet cloth covers are mostly clean, with a few bubbles.  Cover illustration stamped in copper ink; blind stamped ornament on back cover.  
  • Boards show some smudges, with a few bumps and edgewear.  Corners are softened and frayed.  Please see photographs for details of condition. 
  • Spine has copper text and is somewhat faded, with bumped, softened ends.
  • Binding is tight.
  • Yellow end papers; one corner is folded in.  
  • Line illustrations are bright and clear. 
  • Interior is gently age-toned; a few scattered stains.   
  • Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks. 
  • Inside pages have printer's errors on pages iii-iv, 7-8, and 9-10, where paper was folded in the press.  Please see photographs for details.

A hand-sized volume that promises to be a "Practical Guide to the Ceremonies in All the Degrees conferred in Masonic Lodges, Chapters, Encampments, etc.; Explaining the Signs, Tokens and Grips, and giving all the Words, Pass-words, Sacred Words, Oaths, and Hieroglyphs Used by Masons.  The Ineffable and Historical Degrees are also given in full."  

Printed two columns per page, and illustrated with line drawings to complement the text.
