Hardback is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

  • Green covers in textured paper are mostly clean.  Half bound with pewter cloth at spine and corners.  
  • Boards show some edgewear.  Corners are scuffed.   
  • Spine has title on printed label and is bumped, with bumped and softened ends. 
  • Binding is strong.  
  • Endpapers and feps have light to moderate foxing.  
  • Each issue retains original light blue paper covers.

Four issues of the scholarly journal Lunds Universitets Arsskrift, all authored by Gunnar Jarring.  The full title reads:  Materials to the Knowledge of Eastern Turki:  Tales, Poetry, Proverbs, Riddles, Ethnological and Historical Texts From the Southern Parts of Eastern Turkistan.  Translated, and with notes by the author.  The four issues appeared between 1946 and 1951.

Inscribed and signed by the author on the front cover of the first issue.
