Hardback set is overall in VERY GOOD condition.

  • Black cloth covers with gilt titles on spines. 
  • Volume One:  Boards show some staining at head, edgewear.  Corners are frayed, with exposed board.  Spine has gilt text, dimmed, and is faded with crushed and frayed ends.  Binding is intact.  See photos. 
  • Volume Two:  Boards show a bump at edge, some edgewear.  Corners are sharp.  Spine has gilt text and is bright, with softened ends.  Binding is firm.  See photos.
  • Pastedowns and feps Volume One have pin holes at page head, shadow mark.  See photos.  
  • Illustrations are clear. 
  • Interiors are gently age-toned.  Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
  • Text block edges are a little dusty.
