"An exceptional book about a rich period in early-twentieth-century German architecture.  It combines the author's thorough personal knowledge of Poelzig and many of the principal architects of the twenties with his extraordinarily broad understanding of architectural history." (Jacket)  Julius Posener (1904-1996) met Hans Poelzig as a student; this work combines memoir with architectural history.
