Hardback is overall in GOOD- condition.

  • Volume shows overall pronounced commensurate wear with rubbing and chipping on covers, and toning with chips to pages inside.
  • Leather covers show pronounced overall rubbing with numerous scuffs scattered on front and back.
  • Boards are exposed on edges and are notably worn with chips on corners and along edges.
  • Corners are rubbed with exposed boards.
  • Spine features red titleblock with text in gilt, as well as gilt decorations which somewhat disappear into general rubbing of spine.
  • Spine ends are rubbed, with chips, mostly at head.
  • Binding is tight and secure.
  • Color endpapers display handsome marble design and are strongly worn, with overall fading and toning mostly along edges, and chips to lower corners. (See photos)
  • Publisher's ribbon bookmark inside. 
  • Interior displays considerable toning with foxing and staining scattered throughout book, and frequent ink pen marks in margin. 
  • Some pages have corner chips and creases. (See photos)
  • Text block edges have faded red tint and exhibit some scuffing.
  • Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
