CHILDREN'S SONGS AND STORIES OF THE WILD FLOWERS, by Norine Connelly - 1922
Children's Songs and Stories of the Wild Flowers
by Norine Connelly
"During the Spring term of 1921 this little wild flower project was worked out in the Second Grade of the Washington School, Berkeley, California, where the author was then teaching. The project had suggested itself in a most natural way. We had been studying the wild flowers and the children had been interested making rhymes about them. The stories were copied and illustrated by the children, then inclosed in an appropriate book cover of their own design. The stories and songs have been printed exactly as the children told and sang them." Illustrations and text are accompanied by sheet music. 70 pages. 9" by 6.25".
