Aubusson is a French community that has been famous throughout the world since the 14th century for it's tapestries and rugs. Royalty have collected these woven works by the 16th century. Their popularity and demand diminished with the French Revolution and the popularity of wall paper, but the tradition of this exacting technique continues on location to this day! In 2016 the weaving style was listed as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. [Veranda home decorators]
