A wonderfully clean copy of this masterpiece of Hungarian collaboration. Features striking B&W full page portrait photographs by famed Hungarian photographer Kálmán Kata (1909-1978). It opens with an essay by Zsigmond Moricz (1879-1942), an acclaimed Hungarian writer with a passion for exposing the plight of the poor and exploited agricultural and industrial workers. Hungarian journalist Ivan Boldizsar (1912-1988) wraps up the book with a bio drawn from interviews about each person photographed. This edition concludes with an additional essay by Boldizsar. 55 pages. 9.25 x 12 inches.

Text is in Hungarian. Printed for the 50th anniversary of the initial publication.
