Product Description

Seven Years Among the Freedmen

by Maria Waterbury

An account of what it was like to live among and teach former slaves in the Southern U.S. after the Civil War. Many who went south to teach were sent as "missionary teachers." Book includes inline drawings, and several frontis photos. 198 pages. 5 x 7.75 inches.
