Very scarce 1810 leatherbound edition of Martin Luther's German translation of the New Testament. Originally held by brass clasps which are missing leaving the ends on both boards. 537 pages. 4.25" by 7". 

A note regarding pagination: Proceeding from page 472, the following page is randomly numbered as 347 and following this the series continues in sequence as 474 and so on. Between pages 472/347 is a large pressed leaf which may have been placed there to indicate the error in pagination. Please see photos for clarification.

Hardback is overall in GOOD condition.

• Full leatherbound with remnants of brass clasps. Please see photos. 
• Boards are slightly bowed and show minimal wear including light scratches and scuffing with more appreciable wear to the edges. Please see photos. 
• Leather exhibits minimal signs of drying, including some faint cracking mostly at spine.
• Corners gently rubbed, with the rear top corner showing chips. Please see photos.
• Spine has five raised bands. 
• Spine has firm ends showing light wear and the number 3 written in the top block. 
• Shoulders are rubbed with some cracking. Front shoulder has light scuffing
• Binding is secure.
• Pastedowns are toned, with some damp-staining at back and back fep.
• Ffep bears writing in aged ink. Please see photos. 
• Interior is heavily age-toned with foxing throughout.
• Some creases can be found within text.
• Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
• Text block edges are age-toned with foxing. 
• Book may exhibit additional minor signs of age or wear.
